What do bats eat???

Nick is really talking a ton lately and using all kinds of new words. I just love making him talk to hear what is going on in his little mind. Anyway, the other day we were talking about bats and we asked him what they eat. Here is the video.

For translation bats eat "spagitos" which are mosquitos.

Summer fun

Well, I have 10 days to my due date so I thought now would be a good time to write about the summer before there is a screaming baby in our house again!

As part of the preparations for the baby I realized I had not taken nice pictures of Nick and Andi for almost a year!!! Crazy huh! I had my sister-in-law Kami come up and take pictures of the kids. I also thought that since this would be my last pregnancy (pregnancy and I don't get along well) I might want some pictures of my giant belly, you know, for posterity! Anyway she did an awesome job! I even like some of the pictures of me pregnant (never thought I would say that) and so does Mike!

OK, so this is what I look like pregnant in case any of you have not seen me recently. Enjoy because this is the only picture I am posting.

Nick really loves Andrea and he really loves to give her kisses on the cheek. Andrea didn't really want a kiss this time.

I also finally got the chance to try out my new camera on the Moser farm. I took the kids around me and we took pictures on trackors, the cattle chute, and other fun places. This was one of my favorite pictures inside a tractor tire.

Sadly my sister is moving with her four boys to Washington soon so we have tried to spend as much time as possible with them. We decided to take the kids to the zoo to see the baby elephant, which the kids loved! It really was cute! We also were able to see the bird show which the kids were a little more leary of at first. Nick just wanted to dance to the music at the show.

In June we got to watch Mike run the ragnar relay. He was leg 2 and ran about 13 miles. We were proud of him and the kids and I loved watching him run. I think next year I may even try it!

This is the cheering section for the team "Justice League" which included Mike, my two brothers Neil and Tom, my sister Kami, my cousins Jamie and Alli, and all their friends. They were awesome! The cheering section included my Aunt Sue, Nick, Andi & Myself. We brought my Aunt's toy music set to make noise and cheer for our team and others! The thing I liked most was how everyone seemed to be cheering everyone on.

The main part of the summer we have spent working in the yard. Most recently we have been working on the sprinkler system which has just been a joy! I am not sure though, that is the word Mike would use. Anyway, he let me assemble some of the lines and he did the hard work of cleaning up the trenches and laying the lines in. It was all we could do though to keep the kids out of the trenches. Really if anyone needs something fun for the kids to do just dig them some trenches!

Mike is awesome though and finished the installation in two weeks! Since then we have been working on filling in the trenches and the kids have had a great time helping. The result of the kids helping is documented in the picture below... I can't wait to have grass!!

Camera woes...

I know it has been a while but at least I have a little excuse. Back in March we accidentially permanently lent our camera to a stranger during our trip to Disneyland. Very similar to the time two years ago when I did the same thing on our trip to Hawaii. I hope those strangers enjoyed our family photos! Anyway I got a new camera for my birthday so now I can take pictures again and do some catching up.

Andrea has started playing soccer which is a blast to watch. The first game her team spent most of the time trying to figure out which goal they were supposed to score in. They would just kick the ball toward which ever goal was closest which resulted in several goals for the other team! Andrea is doing great and seems to like it as long as she gets the treats after the game and can play on the toys after as well. (All very important parts of the game!) Quite frankly I am just happy she is trying soccer. She is also a pretty fast runner just like her dad.


This picture is of Andi as the goalie. Really I think it was a relief society meeting for all the girls on the field. The ball was at the other end of the field at the time I took this picture.

Nick is doing great as well. He has really started talking a lot lately. I especially love the insights into his little mind. We use bralellas at our house instead of umbrellas. Just about anything is his "Fravorite," and "Leggy Bugs" (Lady Bugs) are scary. He is my big helper around the house and especially loves to scrub the toilet as well as other things with the toilet scrubber. This picture is of Nick and how he likes to sleep during nap time. He is totally the cool dude of our house!

Mother's day was great. Mike and the kids made me pancakes and the cutest cards in the world. Andrea's card was a cute heart drawn by her and the words "I Lose You" written in the middle of the page. I love you too Andi! Nick's card was a whole page and at the top of the page was a small circle which was my head apparently, a few lines strewn about the page which were my arms and legs and a GIANT circle that took the entire rest of the page which was my belly. Thanks Nick! (He will probably remember me like this forever.) For church they had all the mom's of nursery kids come to the nursery for snack time with the kids. I loved being there with Nick as he was so proud to have me there. He made sure to tell everyone that I was his mom. I am pretty sure I am the luckiest mom ever to have such great kids!

For dinner we went to visit Mike's mom, and after which I took the kids outside on the farm for some pictures. I think when the baby comes we will have to go up there for family pictures. They really have a lot of cool stuff around the farm!

Nick doesn't just say "cheese" anymore. I think he will be the clown of our family.

This is my first video post so I hope it works. This is something else that Nick does randomly at the dinner table. It always catches us off guard and you can't help but laugh.

What is it????

So time is flying with this pregnancy. I remember with Andrea and Nick that the ultrasound day seemed like forever away. That day has already come and gone for us and it all seems a blur. I guess having two other kids helps make the time go faster which is going to be great when I get to the end of this pregnancy. I have to say that I was secretely hoping for twins to justify the rate at which my belly is growing this time. Anyway, I am not having twins just getting big fast. The best thing was that we told Nick and he said "YAY its a baby!" Honestly I am pretty glad that it is not a cat, or a cow, or an alien that it actually is a baby!

Oh and guess I should say that we are having another.........................................................

Happy Holidays! and more...

For the Moser's this year the holidays were great! We have been looking forward to them for a while for two main reasons. The first being that we are finally in our house and the second being that Nick and Andi both actually knew it was comming and were very excited. We of course had at least once a day the question "Is it Chrismas yet?"

We started off the season with a trip to SLC to see the lights and my Grandparents who are on a mission there. While the kids loved the lights they were totally trumped by seeing Grandpa and Grandma. (We REALLY miss you guys!) They also really enjoyed the Frontrunner train ride to the lights.

We also took advantage of a couple of photographers there and had our picture taken as a family for the first time this year. Better late then never right!

With a lot of close communication with Santa, Christmas morning was a success! Nick and Andi got bikes from Santa, but their favorite presents (at least we think so) were from us. Nick loves his Thomas the tank train, and Andi liked the jewelry box we gave her. This is a picture of them showing us how much they love their presents.

The day after Chrismas my whole family came up to go sledding together. I have always loved sledding and have thought it was a blast until my kids started doing it. Now it is just terrifying! Fortunately my brothers took Andi and Daniel down the big hill with them so it was a little less dangerous. (only a little though since it was my brothers)

This is the picture of them hiking up the big hill together. I didn't get a good picture of them going down the hill because my camera was too slow in the cold and the hill was too fast.

Really it was a great holiday season! Thank you to all of our family and friends that make our lives so great!!!

The forgotten days of summer

I know. I have been bad (ok really bad) about keeping up to date but I plan on doing better now that this crazy year is almost over.

So back in July we had tubes put in Nick's ears. Everyone said it would not be a big deal and that the surgery would be quick and easy . Ya know what...they were right. However, everyone failed to mentioned (I think on purpose) the horrible affect of the anesthesia on kids. I had no idea that after the surgery the anesthia would turn my sweet little boy into a banshee. They brough him back to me kicking and screaming at the top of his lungs (literally). This behavior continued non-stop for a half an hour. It was difficult for Mike and I to watch as he was completely unconsolable. Then suddenly (as the nurses had predicted) at 30 min he just stopped and asked for a popcicle. Within an hour he was acting completly normal again and asking to go play at daycare! Crazy!!! This picture is him before the surgery, he hated wearing the dress.

In August we had my cousin's wedding in our/my grandparents backyard. Thanks to everyone who spent a lot of time helping us get it ready. These are the pictures of the backyard but they don't do it justice! It really turned out georgous even though the morning of the wedding we woke up to a downpour!

After the wedding we had all the flours left at the house. Andrea was having a blast holding the bride's boquet. Of course I had to take some pictures!

While taking pictures Andrea's little best friend Izzy came over to play, so we had to take some pictures of them as well.

I also tried taking some pictures of Nick. He, on the other hand, did not think this was such a good idea. This is a picture of him screaming at me to stop taking his picture...he was definately serious! Hope this phase does not last too much longer.

Andrea begged me to hand over the camera so I did. She then proceded to tell me exactly where and how to sit. Then she came over and gave me the flower and carefully positioned my head and said "perfect, now smile." This is the resulting picture! I think I have a little photographer on my hands.

The next weekend we decided to head up to Bear Lake for a much needed relaxing weekend. We found a beach on the side of the road and let the kids loose. This was when I learned another life lesson. As we walked out to the beach I thought to myself "Oh great, it is yucky sand with broken shells everywhere, this will be aweful...lets find a new beach!" At that same moment Andrea exclaimed very excitedly, "Mom look there are sea shells everywhere!" After which she grabbed her bucket and started filling it with shells. Suddenly the beach did not seem so bad after all. We got out a little rubber raft we had bought and the kids played in the water for the next 5 hours. It was awesome!!!

Last of all we finally moved into our house!!! It took forever to close on our loan but other then that the entire building process was pretty much painless and even enjoyable! We love our new house and feel very blessed to be in it. We have even alreay made lots of new friends already in our neighborhood! Here is the picture of the finished house that everyone keeps asking me for. Please let me know if you want our new address and I will send it to you. For obvious reasons I don't really want to post it here. Thanks everyone who helped us move in and a special thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson for letting us live in their house while this one was being built!

The Project

I wanted to do a little update on the house before it was finished being built. We are building with Visionary Homes/Mt. Sterling Construction and they have been great to work with. The construction has been very smooth and fast. Really I feel more like we are building a shed than a house with how fast it is going up. Our first house we built was smaller by 1700 square feet but this one is going up faster. Go figure. We visit the house almost every day because something new is done and if we blink we will miss it! Below is a bit of a photo journal for the house.

They broke ground on June 15th.

06/24/09 Foundation walls

07/14/09 Framing started. Andrea "hated" our new house until it was done enough that she could stand in her room. Then she decided it would be OK to live there.

07/16/09 Walls framed

Andrea was thrilled to spot a framed "A" in the house. Then it was really OK to live there. In fact she asked if we could move in right then.

07/21/09 Framing complete. We were very happy when they framed in the stairs as Nick and construction sites do not mix well. These are our "Scary Faces." I know, I know...you just ran for cover under your bed! Sorry, I will tell them no more scary faces.

I guess I should let you know that we will also be using our house as a zoo. Apparently it is the place animals of all kinds like to hang out. This was the Canadian Goose that was just hanging out in the garage while we were trying to clean it. Thanks to my dad for helping it escape the premesis. We have also already had a mouse in the basement, many large grass hoppers, a cat, and a butterfly (Andrea reminds me) in the house. Not to mention my brothers! ;)

This is a picture of the house currently (08/22/09). However this will change tomorrow as the rock goes up.

We feel very fortunate and BLESSED to be in the position we are in. I would like to send a special thanks out to almost all our family members as each of them has helped us in one way or another. We love you guys! A special, special thanks to my brother David who will be paying the down payment of 20% on the house!!!................... Oh what's that. I forgot to mention that to you Dave. Whoops, my bad.
